Transform an overgrown border into an ornate pond with cascades incorporating an original well.

The Approach

After walking around the garden with the customer and discussing ideas, a proposal was created of how the water feature could look. Upon agreement with the customer a quote was submitted for the works.

The Construction

The site was cleared and excavated and shaped to accommodate the new pond and cascades. A butyl liner was installed and rockwork positioned to form cascades and surrounds.

Pump, pipework and filtration system were installed.

Once all the rockwork was completed work commenced on the construction of a bridge and a deck walkway.

The Outcome

The final stage was planting of the surrounding borders and pond.

As a final touch it was decided that the roof of the well needed to be rebuilt and covered with copper tiles to match with one of the other garden buildings.
