Wildlife/Natural Garden Design

When designing a garden to attract wildlife it is important to select the correct plants to draw native species, therefore in a wildlife/natural garden design the emphasis is on the planting and not on the style. Water can also play an important part in attracting wildlife to the garden and should be considered whenever designing this style of garden.

The overall design of the garden can be influenced by the types of wildlife you wish to attract, for example if you wish to attract beetles and hedgehogs the design will be more to an informal garden incorporating decaying logs, whereas conversely attracting bees and butterflies can be achieved using the correct planting in any style of garden.
