Rectangle Garden Design

The design opportunities are almost limitless when creating a rectangule garden design. A symmetrical approach could be taken to echo the rectangular shape of the plot rather than detract from it, challenges in levels can also be introduced to good advantage to add interest to what otherwise would be a static design.

However if your preference was to detract from the surrounding rectangular boundaries then a circular pattern could be introduced to encourage the eye to wander around its flowing lines, and when accompanied with appropriate planting the boundaries would be hidden from sight and disappear. Using design technicals the eye can be drawn whereever you want it to be, for example offsetting the garden shape can make boundaries appear to be further away therefore making the garden appear deeper than it really is.
