As the soil starts to warm up more work can be carried out in the garden, and this can be one of the busiest times in the garden. Here are a few of our April Garden Maintenance Tips.
- Hoe and weed all borders and beds
- To help suppress weeds and retain moisture mulch borders and beds
- Increase frequency of mowing lawns
- New growth will start appearing on hedges so can be trimmed to keep in a good shape
- Deciduous climbers can be planted still
- Unkept ivy on walls can be clipped back to tidy up
- Remove blooms from daffodils and tulips as they fade
- Pressure wash decking and patios
- Finish perennial border maintenance and preparation
- Plan the planting of your beds
If you require any assistance with developing planting plans, or need any advice or guidance arrange a consultation with one of our designers.
