Tree House, Nottinghamshire

The customer wanted to create an area of adventure for his grandchildren.

The Approach

After walking around the garden and looking at suitable areas a tree house was decided upon and suitable trees sourced, and a design drawn-up.

The Construction

The trees were pruned to remove any dead and dangerous wood before construction commenced. The first level joist work was installed in readiness for the decking, building of the tree house and upper level deck.

The framework of the tree house was constructed ready for insulation and cladding, accompanied with the roof which was prepared in readiness for the installation of the cedar tiles.

Hardwood decking was laid on the joist work and construction of the upper level deck was started.

A rope bridge was constructed to join the two areas.

The Outcome

A play area which is enjoyed by both grandchildren and adults alike.
